As part of the support for micro, small and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine, 36,213 loans totalling UAH 116.1 billion have been issued since the launch of the portfolio-based state guarantee instrument in December 2020.
As of 1 May 2024, 29 lending banks were servicing 18,672 loans worth UAH 65.5 billion. The principal liabilities, which are partially secured by state guarantees on a portfolio basis, amounted to UAH 29.9 billion. This is about 68% of the total limit of guarantees provided (UAH 43.9 billion).
In April, 1,130 loan agreements worth over UAH 4.3 billion were concluded, with the share of principal obligations guaranteed by the state amounting to UAH 2.4 billion.
In terms of the number of loans serviced under state guarantees on a portfolio basis as of 1 May this year, Privatbank continues to be the leader in the number of loans serviced under state guarantees: 12,299 loans totalling UAH 20.4 billion, which is 58% of the limit of such guarantees provided to the bank. The second largest lender is JSC Oschadbank: 3,012 loans totalling UAH 11.3 billion (90% of the bank’s limit). Ukrgasbank rounds out the top three: 830 loans for UAH 9.3 billion (66% of its limit).
