A 250 MW CHPP unit has been repaired; 130,000 consumers lost power in Kherson as a result of a missile strike

    POWER GENERATION

Today, a power unit at a thermal power plant has been repaired, adding an additional 250 MW of capacity to the grid. The electricity generated by Ukrainian power plants is fully sufficient to meet the needs of consumers.

A large-scale repair campaign is underway at thermal, hydro and nuclear generation facilities.

    SITUATION IN THE FRONTLINE REGIONS

The occupiers continue to terrorise the frontline and border areas. Yesterday, a missile strike knocked out a 150 kV substation in Kherson, leaving 130,000 consumers without power. All of them have now been reconnected.

Some consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions are also without power due to shelling. Repair teams are working where the security situation allows.

    CONSEQUENCES OF SHELLING

At night, the enemy launched another missile and drone attack on the territory of Ukraine. In Poltava region, the shelling damaged power lines and cut power to several residential buildings.

Gas supply was restored to 2,700 households in Kharkiv region that were left without gas as a result of shelling of gas distribution stations on the night of 12 October. More than 4,000 households remain without gas supply. Emergency repair works are underway.

    SITUATION IN THE REGIONS

Due to adverse weather conditions, 67 settlements in four regions are without electricity: 2,800 consumers in Kyiv region, 3,000 consumers in Kirovohrad region, more than 3,000 consumers in Khmelnytskyi region, and more than 5,000 consumers in Chernihiv region.

As a result of technological disruptions, 7,800 consumers in Zaporizhzhia region and 2,600 consumers in Odesa region are without power.

CONSEQUENCES OF THE KAKHOVKA HPP DAM BLOW-UP

In Kherson, 1,500 consumers remain without power after the flooding. Power engineers are working to restore power supply, but repairs are slowed down by shelling.

    SITUATION AT THE ZNPP

There is a slight decrease in the water level in the cooling pond. It is currently at 15.72 metres. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the plant.

    EXPORT/IMPORT

There were no commercial imports of electricity yesterday. Exports to Slovakia and Moldova totalled 2,762 MWh.
