  • Situation in energy system as of 12 April
Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, posted 12 April 2024 10:19

Consumption restrictions are in effect in Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions; over the past day, Ukraine received and provided emergency assistance to neighbouring countries

    POWER GENERATION, CONSUMPTION, TRANSMISSION

Over the past day, due to network constraints on the transmission system operator’s lines, outage schedules were applied in Kharkiv region. Today, restrictions are applied in Kharkiv region and for industry in Kryvyi Rih.

During the day, due to the sunny weather and, accordingly, increased electricity generation by solar power plants, the transmission system operator limited the generation of electricity from renewable sources to a total of 7,394 MWh.

In addition, surplus electricity was supplied to Poland in the total amount of 800 MWh. At the same time, electricity was imported from neighbouring countries in the evening during peak hours, totalling 1,800 MWh.

Electricity imports and exports are currently planned. Ukraine’s power system is stable and balanced.

    CONSEQUENCES OF SHELLING

At night, an enemy attack caused a fire at a high-voltage substation in Dnipropetrovsk region. Industrial consumers lost power. In the morning, consumers were partially supplied with power.

The shelling caused equipment at the gas distribution network in Mykolaiv to be disconnected. More than 30 customers were left without gas supply.

Overhead gas pipelines in Kharkiv district were damaged as a result of hostilities. Gas supply to 136 customers was cut off.

    SITUATION AT ZNPP

The water level in the cooling pond has slightly decreased to 15.48 metres. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the plant.
