The judicial branch which is currently undergoing transformations must become one of the most authoritative and highly- respected in society. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this during the conference "The role of the Supreme Court in ensuring human rights and freedoms".
"Restoration of justice and trust due to concrete actions is of unparalleled importance for us. The judiciary should be one of the most authoritative in the country. We will not have a second chance to create a second new Supreme Court. And now we have to introduce new standards and principles starting from the Supreme Court and to the district court. People want justice in the country so that everyone is equal before the law, and the courts were independent," the Prime Minister underscored.
The Head of Government is assured that an independent and fair court is a key to the economic stability because the court is a core element in the protection of property rights and investments. That is why it is now necessary not just to hold the next stage of the reform but to become an example of return of people's trust and the establishment of the rule of law.
