January 13, First Vice Prime Minister/Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv presented trade, economic and investment potential of Ukraine at the 25th edition of CII Partnership Summit 2019 being held in Mumbai (India).
In his speech, Stepan Kubiv emphasized that Ukraine is a dependable partner for trade and investment cooperation and he placed a special emphasis on the fact thay economy demonstrates a steady growth.
"Ukraine has a wide range of projects in different areas that are investment-attractive and can develop high quality production with high added value. Such spheres are agroindustry, energy, industry and aircraft engineering, in particular, including repair and maintenance of aircraft, delivery of helicopters for medical and other civilian needs. All of this may be interesting for Indian business and from our side we offer the most favorable business climate", the First Vice Prime Minister said.
Stepan Kubiv noted that trade between Ukraine and India demonstrates positive dynamics: during 10 months of 2018 bilateral trade turnover amounted to $ 2.3 billion, when export of Ukrainian products exceeds $ 1.8 billion. Thus, India is the largest trade partner of Ukraine among countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
"Industrial cooperation between business circles of Ukraine and India is among the key tasks of our further cooperation. To this end, tools of bilateral intergovernmental commissions and their working subgroups should be effectively used. Holding shortly meetings of the said working groups will allow to maintain positive dynamics of an interstate dialogue and to intensify interaction between the entrepreneurs of our countries," Stepan Kubiv underscored.
