Some 1,236 apartment buildings have already received funding under the SvitloDIM program, for a total amount of nearly UAH 313 million: Ministry for Communities and Territories Development
The Government’s SvitloDIM program to support apartment buildings is ongoing. On April 3, the Cabinet of Ministers expanded the SvitloDIM program to include Kharkiv region.
As of April 8, 1,236 apartment buildings have already received funding totaling nearly UAH 313 million. Of these:
- over 850 buildings are in the city of Kyiv
- over 370 buildings are in the Kyiv region.
The funds received are being used to purchase equipment that will ensure the stable operation of the buildings’ essential infrastructure. Over UAH 230 million has already been transferred for the purchase of equipment.
Demand for the program
Since the program’s launch, over 2,400 applications have been submitted from buildings housing more than 376,000 families.
By geographic location of applications:
- 66% of applications are from co-owners of buildings in Kyiv,
- 34% of applications are from the Kyiv region.
By type of applicant submitting documents on behalf of co-owners:
- Homeowners’ associations (HOAs) – 73%
- Managers of multi-unit residential buildings – 19%
- Service cooperatives – 8%.
The vast majority of applicants are legal entities (over 98%), while individual entrepreneurs account for about 2%.
The Ministry for Communities and Territories Development’s commission reviews applications on a daily basis: 2,339 applications have already been processed, of which 1,306 have been approved. The others were rejected and may be resubmitted after the documents are revised.
