Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi met with United States Secretary of Agriculture Thomas James Vilsack.
During the talks, the parties discussed the importance of the Grain from Ukraine initiative and the possibilities of its implementation.
The U.S. Secretary noted that the U.S. continues to assist Ukraine, supplying grain to countries that need it.
He said that the U.S. supported the Grain from Ukraine initiative and allocated about $20 million for its implementation. According to him, the funds will be provided through the U.S. Agency for International Development USAID, which will direct financial support through the UN World Food Program.
Mykola Solskyi thanked the American side for the prompt support and noted that Ukraine highly appreciates all the assistance provided.
"We understand that the results we have are the joint efforts of all partners, in particular the United States," Mykola Solskyi stressed.
