Today, the Minister of Veterans' Affairs of Ukraine Serhii Bessarab met with the Head of the NATO Representation to Ukraine Alexander Vinnikov.
Serhii Bessarab thanked the NATO Representation for its support of veterans in Ukraine, in particular, for organizing the professional adaptation of former servicemen and the rehabilitation of veterans in medical institutions abroad.
The parties also discussed further areas of cooperation regarding support of ATO/OOS veterans and their reintegration into society.
According to Alexander Vinnikov, the cooperation of the Ministry of Veterans with the NATO mission in Ukraine will prolong within the framework of existing programs, and two new projects will be launched to study European policies aimed at supporting veterans and analyzing the service delivery model. This will facilitate the implementation by the Ministry of Veterans of an effective policy to support ex-servicemen and improve the process of servicing veterans.
It is worth noting that during May 2020, the NATO Representation in Ukraine implemented a special training program "Territorial bodies of the Ministry of Veterans of Ukraine: effective work in the regions." Within the framework of this program, 11 training seminars were held for the staff of the Ministry.
