The Swiss energy equipment manufacturer PFIFFNER Group has provided the Ukrainian Government with a certificate worth CHF 100,000 for the purchase of equipment to support Ukraine’s energy system. The company is also exploring the possibility of building a new factory in Ukraine. This was discussed during an online meeting between First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko and Marcel Rüfenacht, CEO of PFIFFNER Group.

“We are grateful to PFIFFNER Group for their contribution to restoring our energy system – a certificate for CHF 100,000 and potential investment in building a factory in Ukraine. Such support strengthens our energy resilience amid ongoing attacks,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko.

She thanked PFIFFNER Group’s leadership for previously provided humanitarian technical assistance to Ukraine’s energy sector. The parties also discussed prospects for further cooperation, including the potential establishment of a PFIFFNER Group production facility in Ukraine.

“The Government is implementing the Made in Ukraine policy, which encourages investment in the real economy, boosts non-commodity exports, and develops domestic production. For major investors, the programme supporting significant investment projects is particularly attractive, offering up to 30% compensation of capital investments for projects exceeding EUR 12 million,” Yuliia Svyrydenko emphasised.

During the discussion, Marcel Rüfenacht confirmed that PFIFFNER Group has severed all ties with russia and expressed readiness to continue supporting Ukraine amid moscow’s armed aggression.

In spring 2023, PFIFFNER Group provided Ukraine with assistance in the form of energy equipment, including six current transformers valued at over CHF 300,000.
