A sum worth UAH 2 million has been paid to 3 more agricultural enterprises under the Government grant program to support small and medium-sized businesses, eRobota. The money will be used to develop horticulture, berry growing, viticulture, and greenhouse farming. In total, 109 farms have received state aid worth almost UAH 418 million for the development of gardens and greenhouses this year.
In particular, UAH 336.7 million was paid to 92 farms for orchards. Another 17 received UAH 81.3 million for greenhouses.
Since the start of the program, UAH 467 million has been paid to 118 business entities. In particular, 99 farms received almost UAH 371.7 million for the development of horticulture, berry growing and viticulture, and 19 entrepreneurs received UAH 95.3 million for greenhouses.
This year, 86 farms received grants in full.
Background information
Government grant program has been in place since July 1, 2022, and provides support for small and medium-sized businesses. Among its advantages is the opportunity for everyone to create or develop their own business in the areas Own Business, Own Garden, Own Greenhouse, and New Level.
Grants are provided in the amount of no more than 70% of the project cost, but no more than UAH 10 million. The applicant must finance at least 30% of the project cost with their own or credit funds. A prerequisite is the employment of the required number of employees. For gardens, from 5 to 10 permanent and 125 to 425 seasonal workers, depending on the type of planting. For greenhouses – not less than 14 workers per hectare.
