Fellow Ukrainian citizens!

Today's date marks not only the 31st anniversary of the restoration of Ukraine's Independence, but also exactly half a year of the heroic struggle of the Ukrainian people against the russian invaders.

Ukraine has been struggling for its independence for centuries, and continues to defend it now in a full-scale war unleashed by russia. We fight for our land, for our history and values, for the people.

Our Armed Forces are the spearhead with which we strike our enemies. Honor and respect to everyone who gave his/her life for the Independence of Ukraine. Their feat and glory are eternal. As well as the deeds of those who are now on the front line and continue to defend their home and their Motherland.

Everyone is doing their jobs and fighting at their place for our independence and bringing victory closer. Our doctors, rescuers, energy workers, railway workers - everyone who did their job in the most difficult times, was in their place, was helping and is further helping to preserve our glorious Ukraine. Everyone who continues to work and support the economy, who gives jobs and faith in a better future. All together we are a force that cannot be overcome. From Uzhhorod to Luhansk. From Chernihiv to Yalta.

31 years is just the beginning. A new beginning for each of us, in order to rebuild a country worthy of our children and grandchildren after victory. A flourishing, free, European Ukraine, where it is safe and comfortable to live, prestigious to work and study, and promising to invest in. This is the dream that Ukrainians have used to believe in 31 years ago, and this is the goal that you and I, side by side with our international allies, are gradually achieving.

We have something to be proud of in front of the world, and today we feel proud of our state more than ever. Ukraine has become synonymous with bravery and courage. It is us who write the history to be admired by future generations. Our faith in victory is strong and unshakable. Because we fight not because of hatred for our enemy, but because of love for our Motherland and the dearest ones.

We did not start this war, but we have to end it. And not only at the front. russia thought that it was an immovable rock. So let's remember the outstanding words of the classics:
