Miners must receive their salaries on time, while market participants must pay for the shipped products on schedule, says Denys Shmyhal
More than 700 million hryvnias will be allocated to miners of state-owned coal mining companies to repay arrears of wages. Also, about 90 million will be redistributed from the budget programs of the Ministry of Energy due to saving the resource. The Minister of Energy German Galushchenko reported at a meeting with the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
The Head of Government has commissioned the Minister of Energy German Galushchenko to control the process of timely payments by market participants for shipped products so that the funds were used to pay salaries to miners in the coming days.
"The state is working to meet and will further fulfill its obligations to miners so that they do not have any wage arrears. Debts must be repaid as soon as possible and must not accumulate. Moreover, the Government has made the necessary decisions for this, in particular - the obligation of state mines to direct 80% of the funds from sales to pay salaries to miners," said Denys Shmyhal.
Moreover, Denys Shmyhal gave a commission to the Ministry of Energy to prepare at the end of the week a report on the implementation by mine directors of the order of the Cabinet of Ministers on the allocation of 80% of revenues obtained from sales to pay to miners.
"Pitmen do not have to wait for months for a salary due to the negligence of some coal mining enterprises’ managers. Every necessary mechanism is available to prevent such situations. Moreover, the state allocates additional funds when necessary in a timely manner," the Prime Minister stressed.
