Sergii Koretskyi discusses strengthening air defense with U.S. Chargé d'Affaires ad interim to Ukraine Paul Houston

Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergii Koretskyi today discussed with U.S. Chargé d'Affaires ad interim to Ukraine Paul Houston concrete steps to strengthen air defense and protect our cities from Russian ballistic missile and drone attacks, along with joint initiatives on weapons production.

"We also touched on the energy situation ahead of the heating season, corporate governance reforms at state-owned energy companies, and further cooperation in the energy sector — including increased purchases of American LNG," told the Head of Government.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine also shared an initiative to expand the war risk insurance program.

"I'm counting on strong support and active participation from the U.S. side. We remain committed to working with the United States on concrete solutions that strengthen Ukraine's security, protect our energy sector, and open new opportunities for cooperation," Sergii Koretskyi stressed.
