Sergii Koretskyi: Implementing agreements with Moldova on a 50% discount for rail transit

Starting August 10 and lasting until the end of 2026, a new regime with a 50% discount on rail transit of Ukrainian cargo is in effect. These arrangements were reached following recent talks with Prime Minister of Moldova Vasile Tofan, Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhii Koretskyi announced.

 “This is yet another practical solution for Ukrainian exporters under conditions of russia's terror in the Black Sea,” the Head of Government noted.

In addition, beginning August 17, by agreement between the two countries, the route of the Kyiv–Chișinău train will be changed. This will make transfers for Ukrainians to Chișinău Airport more convenient and significantly faster.

Sergii Koretskyi thanked the Government of Moldova for the decisions adopted. “We are working to expand mutually beneficial cooperation between Ukraine and Moldova,” the Prime Minister concluded.
