Ruslan Strilets, Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, held a fruitful meeting with the team of the United States Agency for International Development USAID Ukraine.
He told the partners about the unique digital solutions developed by the Ministry of Environmental Protection over the past three years and the results of work to reduce corruption risks.
He gave an example of forestry reform. According to him, since December 2023, the forestry industry has practically abandoned paper documents in the service sector. Ruslan Strilets emphasized that a separate track that we would intensify this year was the reform of state environmental control. It also aims to avoid corruption risks during inspections of enterprises and ensure the preservation of wildlife. The participants of the event discussed the concept of reforming the State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine.
"I am confident that our digital tools will reduce corruption risks in permitting processes to zero, and will also allow us to open up as much information as possible to the public. Thank you for your openness to cooperation and support of the Ukrainian environmental agenda. I am grateful to the American people for helping Ukraine in these difficult times for all of us," said Ruslan Strilets.
