Ruslan Strilets: The occupiers committed a chemical attack on Sumy region
Acting Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine Ruslan Strilets commented on the shelling of the territory of PJSC Sumykhimprom by the russian armed forces: "The occupiers made a chemical attack on Sumy region".
Ammonia leaked as a result of the shelling at Sumykhimprom. The radius of the affected area is about 2.5 km. Given the direction of the wind, the village of Novoselytsia was under threat.
Ammonia has no color lighter than air, so it rises quickly. Its pungent odor resembles ammonia. If you smell this - you should breathe through a damp gauze bandage soaked in a solution of acetic or citric acid.
People can easy escape horrible consequences of ammonia leakage in shelters, basements and lower floors of houses. Windows and doors should be tightly closed, it is desirable to curtain window and doorways with a cloth soaked in citric acid or a weak vinegar acetate.
The situation is under control. Rescuers are working on the spot. Follow the reports of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and local authorities.
We will "present a bill" to the invader. The enemy will pay us for everything!
