Smart government debt management will enable Ukraine to get out of the trap that had occurred in the period 2008-2013 pursuing a policy following the principle "après moi le déluge". Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said in an interview with Dmytro Gordon.

The PM reminded that due to constant borrowing, part of which used to be distributed as banal handouts to the population, Ukraine has to pay UAH 417 billion to creditors. This is a huge burden on the budget.

"But we have learned to manage the debt correctly", said Volodymyr Groysman. "A systemic approach to solving problems will allow us to become really strong."
