On Friday, December 6, the Head of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine (GeoNadra) Roman Opimakh presented the Investment Atlas of the subsoil user. The service, which has no analogs in Ukraine, was developed jointly with the State Enterprise "Geoinform of Ukraine", NJSC "Nadra of Ukraine", State Enterprise "Ukrgeofizyka" and UkrDGRI.
"The State Geology and Subsoil Service has become a pioneer by implementing such a project, we have learnt from the experience of other countries and created an investor guide that aims to familiarize the subsoil user with objects that are ready for investment," says Roman Opimakh.
According to the Head of Service, the Atlas will be constantly updated. It currently has six sections representing object categories by minerals: hydrocarbons, metal ores, non-metallic ores, groundwater, fossil fuels, precious and semi-precious stones. The Service has selected prospective areas for the first three categories. At that, subsoil users are offered to categorize lots into any of the six sections.
“Each subsoil user has the right to initiate the bidding of the site from the offered list for open electronic auctions and to nominate their bids. This is your chance to win open and competitive bidding,” said Roman Opimakh.
He recalled that the creation of the Atlas is carried out within the framework of the state policy on leveraging investment in the sphere of subsoil use. "The State GeoNadra should become a transparent service institution that creates comfortable conditions for attracting investment and development of the mining industry," Roman Opimakh added.
