Ratifying by Parliament of the agreement on the European Union’s EUR 90 billion loan opens the way for the first tranche to be received as early as June: Yulia Svyrydenko
Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko thanked Members of Parliament for ratifying the agreement on the European Union’s EUR 90 billion loan to Ukraine for 2026–2027.
"This is a very important decision that opens the way for the first tranche to be received as early as June. This year, we expect EUR 45 billion in support under the EU’s Ukraine Support Loan instrument. These funds will be directed toward Ukraine’s defense and security, strengthening energy resilience, and covering the budget deficit," stressed the Head of Government.
The European Union’s support enables Ukraine to maintain macro-financial stability and fulfill its social commitments to the people.
"We continue the joint work of the Government and Parliament to meet international commitments, implement reforms, and preserve external financing, which is critical to the state's resilience," emphasized Yulia Svyrydenko.
