  • Border checkpoints Rava-Ruska and Skadovsk Sea Port to resume operation
Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, posted 06 May 2020 14:49

On May 6, at its meeting, the Government adopted a decision resuming the operation of checkpoints across the state border Rava-Ruska for motor communication and Skadovsk Sea Commercial Port for marine communication. Their operation was temporarily suspended due to the pandemic.

"Yesterday, together with Deputy Prime Minister Oleksii Reznikov, we were on a joint working trip to Kherson region, in the framework of which, among other things, we visited Skadovsk Sea Port. Today we have a decision - and this decision is unanimous. The border crossing points for the sea service in Skadovsk port and for the Rava-Ruska road service are resuming their work," commented the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladyslav Kryklii.

The resumption of the Rava-Ruska checkpoint will significantly reduce the workload of the currently operating checkpoints Yahodyn and Krakivets for road connections with the Republic of Poland. In addition, it will help minimize the large concentration of freight transport at the border, which is important in the context of the spread of COVID-19, as well as ensure the stable implementation of international trade with Poland and the EU as a whole.
