On August 22, a coordination meeting was held between representatives of the Government and the regions to launch and effectively implement a comprehensive support program for the frontline regions.

As reported earlier, on August 13, the Government adopted the first package of support for the frontline regions on the order of the President of Ukraine.

The meeting of the headquarters focused on the decisions already taken on the support package, the specifics of their implementation and requests from the regions for further support and development of the necessary mechanisms by the Government.

The meeting was held with the participation of Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine, Minister for Communities and Territories Development, and coordinated by Oleksii Ryabykin, Deputy Minister for Communities and Territories Development.

The participants included the leadership of Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regional military administrations and territorial communities of the frontline regions.

The Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity, and the Ministry of Education and Science joined the discussion.

"The comprehensive support program is designed for 10 frontline regions, which means more than 6 million Ukrainians. That is why it is important for us to implement the decisions already made and develop new ones as efficiently as possible, primarily at the request of communities in such difficult conditions. The focus is on housing, security, economic sustainability, infrastructure restoration, and social support. We are currently preparing the second package of support, so we need to consolidate all the proposals from the communities so that the new solutions are responsive to people's requests. It is crucial that the regions unite around this program, because we cannot implement the solutions independently, and we are ready to advocate for your proposals. The main thing is that hromadas also actively join in," emphasized Oleksii Kuleba.
