Mriia project becomes available to every school: Denys Shmyhal

This year, the Mriia project will become available to thousands of new schools. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during the forum “Mriia Post-Education. The Event Where the Education of New Ukraine is Formed”, which was held with the participation of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“We are fulfilling the dream of millions of Ukrainians – our children, parents, and teachers. We are making the educational process more convenient, efficient and interactive. Last year, at the initiative of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the state launched a pilot of Mriia, a fundamentally new digital ecosystem for learning, development, and communication. 40 schools from different regions of Ukraine have been successfully testing Mriia, taking advantage of its benefits and opportunities. Today, we are ready to scale Mriia to the whole of Ukraine and make it a part of the everyday life of students, teachers and Ukrainian families,” the Prime Minister said.

Denys Shmyhal emphasised that Mriia was a priority project of the Government and part of the country’s large-scale digital transformation. According to him, the latest digital technologies are crucial for education.

“Mriia is an investment not only in our children, but also in the economy of Ukraine. The students who will join the new system for the first time tomorrow will generate our national wealth the day after tomorrow. Through their work, their business, their inventions, their creativity, their competences and talents,” the Head of Government noted.

According to Denys Shmyhal, the state has created an ecosystem that clearly responds to the challenges of the times. New options, new products and services will appear in Mriia.

“This is one of the major ambitious national projects. But it is not the only one and not the last one. There will be more such strategic initiatives. This is necessary for our future,” the Prime Minister stressed.

Denys Shmyhal thanked the President of Ukraine for initiating the Ukrainian Mriia, as well as the teams of the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Ministry of Education and Science for its practical implementation.

The Prime Minister also thanked Ukrainian teachers who taught children in wartime and opened new horizons for them.
