President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko: focus on energy restoration and citizen support
On October 7, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a working meeting with Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko. The key topic of the discussion was the rehabilitation of energy infrastructure in regions affected by russian attacks.
The Government allocated an additional UAH 1.5 bn for the protection of energy facilities in frontline regions. A reserve of equipment for the rapid restoration of energy supply has been established and is planned to be expanded. The situation in the gas sector was also discussed separately, focusing on increasing gas reserves and ensuring supply for the population.
In the near future, the Cabinet of Ministers will adopt a resolution to maintain a fixed price for natural gas for household consumers. Additionally, the Government has already approved a moratorium on disconnecting consumers in frontline communities from energy supply.
The President instructed that a report on increasing teachers' salaries be prepared by the end of the week to ensure that previously adopted decisions take effect in 2026.
Separately, the President emphasized the importance of supporting internally displaced persons and expects concrete proposals from government officials on these issues by the end of this week.
