First investment forum RE:THINK. Invest in Ukraine upon the initiative of the President of Ukraine and with the support of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will be held in Mariupol on October 29. More than 400 government and business representatives will meet to discuss the region's prospects for development and improve the country's investment climate. The forum will become the first event of this magnitude held outside the capital.

The key program of the forum will encapsulate five panel sessions during which the participants will discuss investment potential of Ukraine, ways of development of regions, investment projects and points of economic upturn.

The leadership of the four major international financial institutions, namely, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), International Finance Corporation (IFC), the European Investment Bank (EIB), World Bank Europe and Central Asia will gather on the same stage for the first time.

The new team will present the projects implemented and those for which the search of investors is underway. Among the projects are rehabilitation of water supply system of Donetsk region, renewal of  railway electrification in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, project of irrigation in Kherson, construction of railway section between the Popasna - Kupyansk highway and railway branch Lantrativka – Kindrashivska-Nova and renewal  of  rail transportation electrification in  Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his video message invited investors to visit the forum and drew attention to the symbolic nature of the city's choice for the event. Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk in his address underlined which projects will be presented at the forum and emphasized the importance of RE: THINK in Mariupol.

"We were looking for attractive investment ideas. We found them. And on October 29 we present them to foreign investors at the forum in Mariupol. Why there? We want to kick off a new history from such city- promising and ready for changes", President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.

Overriding target of the forum is to leverage investments in order to restore economy and to make Donbas  a powerful developed industrial cluster. The forum's investment ideas can alter the development of the region by creating new jobs, increasing investment attractiveness and improving infrastructure.

Interesting infrastructure and other investment projects in agri-sphere, IT and industry will be presented at the forum in Mariupol. The city won its freedom and embarked on a rocky road  from recovery to development. This is an important symbol of how Ukraine can be revived.
