The steps that the Government of Ukraine has made in recent years lay the foundation and the beginning for the major changes that the country needs. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman while taking the floor at the Verkhovna Rada. The statement finalized the discussion on the issues of a possible resignation of the incumbent Cabinet of Ministers. The Verkhovna Rada did not support the resignation. As the Head of the Verkhovna Rada had noted before, in these difficult times it was critical to maintain stability - in the country, inside the Parliament, the Government, so that all people were fully aware that the country was stable, the economy sustained.
The Head of Government reminded that his decision to declare his resignation had not been an emotion but a stance. "And I feel my responsibility", stressed Volodymyr Groysman.
The PM added that he can now hear a lot of criticism towards the Government. Sometimes it can be true. "But I am a realist and I am well aware the steps made trigger major changes, and these changes can be faster if the parliamentary factions unite and vote", the Head of Government stressed. "How long can hatred be borne? For me, Ukraine is not just a spot on the map. This is a large country with a population of 45 million. It has 45 million living hearts that want to live a decent life. And everyone (especially in Parliament) should feel responsible for the country. I can feel it", added the Prime Minister.
