The domestic film industry support program worth UAH 1 billion, which was launched by the Government has allowed to implement dozens of interesting cultural projects and start the film process with the participation of world class artists. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman.

The Head of the Government visited locations of the filming of historical action movie Zakhar Berkut,  which according to the authors' plan  will become the largest film project in the last 40 years. The filmmaking process is supported by the government: 50% of the film’s budget is financed by the Ukrainian State Film Agency.

"Support of the Ukrainian film industry encapsulates promoting talents, discovering new locations and  developing the entire film industry. The support program, which we launched several years ago, already yields a concrete  result. We are making a great movie. This is a movie that will have high ratings, and attracts dozens, hundreds, millions of Ukrainian citizens. Absolutely new processes are emerging", Volodymyr Groysman said.

He noted that he watches the filmmaking process for the second time and stressed that the movie sets should and must be located not only in Kyiv, but also in other cities with historical monuments.

"We are filming a movie in our country, attracting the best Ukrainian and Hollywood actors. And, I think this direction should be developed, especially since international partners are willing to engage  in this process. For our part, the representatives of the film industry have considerable support", the Prime Minister underscored.
