The Government continues to improve the regulatory framework for expanding e-health services. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

During a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on February 9, a decision was approved to implement the rehabilitation component in the electronic health care system (eHealth).

"There has already been introduced a single electronic medical card, which is generated and filled by all medical service providers connected to the system. This ensures that information about the patient is collected in one place. We are now integrating rehabilitation services into the system," said the Prime Minister.

    Background

Electronic healthcare system (eHealth) is a large two-component system that contains medical data that was previously stored in patients' paper records and physicians' documents. Key health systems and registries necessary for the healthcare system are currently being developed.
