In turn, the Prime Minister of Poland reciprocated by congratulating his Ukrainian counterpart on the recent appointment.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine continued the conversation with a kind request to the Head of the Polish Government to shortly appoint a head of the Polish part of the Ukrainian-Polish Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.

Apart from that, during the conversation, the Head of the Ukrainian Government raised the following question: "Lack of permits issued by the Republic of Poland to carry out international freight transportations by Ukraine creates problems for thousands of citizens, and is also a factor of artificially limiting the development of the bilateral trade relations."

The Heads of the Governments discussed in depth the challenges raised in the context of this situation and agreed that the Ministers of Infrastructure of both countries will look for a solution in the end of October during a meeting of the Ukrainian-Polish Joint Commission on International Road Transport.

Oleksiy Honcharuk also placed a special emphasis on the priorities for Ukraine, inter alia preserving and strengthening the European and Euro-Atlantic integration vector, securing the rule of law and conducting judicial reform, corruption eradication and economy growth. The last point involves opening a transparent and balanced land market, privatization and cooperation with the IMF.

In turn, Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki noted that the reforms outlined are of critical importance, so Poland will continue to support Ukraine on its development path.

Summing up the conversation the Prime Minister of Ukraine stressed the importance of bilateral strategic relations between Ukraine and Poland and invited the Prime Minister of Poland to pay an official visit to Kyiv.
