During a working trip to Chernihiv region on May 12, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal inspected the production facilities of PJSC Chernihiv Automotive Plant.
The company has its own full technological cycle of production and produces buses, trolleybuses, trucks and trams. In particular, the plant introduced the release of a new experimental model of the bus in compliance with Euro 6 environmental standards, which received a European certificate.
One of the activities of the Chernihiv Automotive Plant is the production of modern trolleybuses with a low floor level and arrangement of a place for people with disabilities.
"Ukraine has domestic enterprises for the production of modern and comfortable transport, which can compete on an equal footing with foreign companies. The development of national production is the strategy of our Government. Ensuring fair rules in the market and access to cheap financial resources will help such companies to increase their production capacity," said Denys Shmyhal.
Chernihiv Automotive Plant also carries out overhaul repairs of TATRA T3 type trams with the installation of modern equipment, which allows saving electricity consumption up to 40%. According to the Prime Minister, this will enable cities with tram traffic to improve and modernize the tram fleet with significant savings.
