  • Prime Minister: Development of digital literacy will allow tens of millions of Ukrainians to enjoy the benefits of digitalization

    On Monday, May 17, the Diia Summit was held with the participation of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. New electronic services and documents in the Diia (Action) were presented during the event.

    The Head of State noted that dozens of online services, the Diia portal and application, which are already used by 10 million citizens, have been launched so far.

    "On August 24, 2021, Ukraine will enter the paperless regime, as we promised - no papers for government agencies. None will be allowed to demand from a citizen of Ukraine papers or any certificates for the provision of public services. And we will exert every effort to ensure the "paperless state" not really exist on paper," said President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

    For his part, Prime Minister Denys Shmygal noted that the European Union commends high results in the field of digitalization our country demonstrates. According to him, Ukraine has become a leader not only in the introduction of a digital passport, but also in other fast digital services provided in the country currently.

    "For almost two years now, on the initiative of the President and thanks to the fruitful work of the line Ministry and the Government Ukrain sees the process of digitalization underway. So that Ukrainians can simply, quickly and in a fuss-free way receive public services, register a business, take the first steps in this life, in the literal and figural senses. And this is just the beginning of this journey. There is a lot of work ahead. In particular, the development of digital literacy so that not only 10 million, but tens of millions of people can enjoy the benefits of digitalization of Ukraine," said the Prime Minister.

    To wind up his statement, the Prime Minister thanked the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy for the initiative and persistence in the development of digitalization in the country, as well as the team of the Ministry of Digital Transformation for the achieved results.
