
Prime Minister told about the achievements of the Government in 2018 and top priorities for 2019
The essential objective of the Government in 2019 is to make Ukraine’s economy strong and make Ukrainians feel the improvement in their quality of life. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman stressed on air of the Ukraine TV channel.
According to the Head of Government, Ukraine is demonstrating stable results winding up the year 2018. "This year we have implemented a number of important projects: road construction, a decentralization reform, which allowed us to build thousands of facilities in the country, there have been built cardiology centers, hospitals, economy was showing off a growing trend", the Prime Minister said.
Volodymyr Groysman noted that the Government's overarching goal is to make Ukraine a country with a sound economy. "This means that the most Ukrainians will live in financial well-being. Any reserves that we will have over the next year, we will give people - including to pay pensions and wages", he said.
The Prime Minister reminded that starting from January 1, 2019, the pensions will be raised for about 500 thousand military pensioners. From March 1, the most massive recount of pensions will be made for almost 12 million pensioners. This will be done automatically for the first time, without manual control. The minimum wage will grow up to UAH 4173.
In general, Volodymyr Groysman outlined the plans of the Government for 2019: economic development, infrastructure modernization, more new roads, prolonged changes in healthcare, education and other areas that affect the quality of life of citizens.
