A strong and well-equipped the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) is a guaranteed rescue for everyone who is in trouble. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during the celebrations on the occasion of the coming the Day of the Rescuer.
"The rescuers will always come to prevent the disaster and provide assistance. If we look at the figures, units of the SESU have saved more than 17.000 people over the period of 4 years. In society you have credibility and respect", Volodymyr Groysman emphasized.
The Prime Minister stressed that now the task for the Government is to provide rescuers with everything they need. And this task is being fulfilled. Thus, the budget of the SESU was increased threefold, 204 apartments were given to employees, from the next year, the minimum wage will increase to UAH 9 thousand.
The Head of Government honored the memory of the rescuers killed while performing their duties, including in Donbas.
"I wish everyone who is in the service, goodness and to return home alive and healthy. Ukrainians express their respect to you", Volodymyr Groysman noted.
