During a working trip to the Kherson region on December 24, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal visited the Central City Hospital in Nova Kakhovka.
The Prime Minister together with the Deputy Minister of Health - Chief State Sanitary Doctor Viktor Liashko got familiarized with the reconstructed emergency department of the hospital within the program of the President of Ukraine "Great Construction".
According to Denys Shmyhal, the new emergency department will expand the hospital's capabilities, in particular, it will allow to conduct all necessary examinations, diagnose in a timely manner and, if necessary, start treatment directly in the emergency and diagnostic department.
"The modernization of medical institutions is primarily aimed at improving the provision of medical services to people by expanding the capacity of hospitals. Our task is to ensure that patients can get all the necessary examinations and procedures quickly and efficiently because it concerns the life and health of Ukrainians," said the Prime Minister.
Denys Shmyhal also noted that the necessary medical equipment, including ultrasound devices, digital X-rays and a computer tomograph, will be purchased for the emergency department at the expense of the budget funds.
During the visit to the Central City Hospital, the Prime Minister handed over to the doctors the Bethlehem Fire of Peace, which the Cabinet of Ministers had received the day before from the Scout organization "Plast".
