During its session on November 24, the Government has endorsed a resolution allowing to attract EUR 25.5 million from the Reconstruction Credit Institution (KfW) for the implementation of the project Energy Efficiency in Communities. According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, the resource will be directed to implement energy efficiency measures in Zaporizhia and Zhytomyr.
"Next year, the energy efficiency program will be part of the Presidential Large Construction program. We have several projects with international partners that will enable accumulating sufficient financing to carry out this initiative," said the Prime Minister.
According to the Prime Minister, the Coordination Committee has started its work within the framework of the joint project with the European Investment Bank Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings in Ukraine. The project will allow for the thermal modernization of about 1,000 public buildings: kindergartens, schools, healthcare facilities, as well as social, administrative and cultural facilities.
