Prime Minister: Synergy of civil society, business and authorities is the basis for implementation of hundreds of projects across the country
On Thursday, July 29, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal took part in the final presentation of the concepts of integration projects within the framework of the project "Ivano-Frankivsk and Donetsk build bridges of cooperation."
"More and more enterprising communities that do the right and useful things for the state appear in Ukraine. Uniting citizens and building bridges of cooperation between regions are the key things that make our state successful. It is a synergy of civil society, business, central and local authorities that is the basis for the implementation of hundreds of projects across the country aimed at improving the lives of our citizens. Therefore, I want to express my sincere support to the project team in its strategic activities," the Prime Minister said.
Denys Shmyhal emphasized that this is one of those projects that other regions should take as example and further develop it. According to him, the initiatives being tackled in the framework of joint discussions should be put into practice and cooperation between the regions should be expanded to new areas.
The Prime Minister dwelled on the importance of establishing systematic cooperation between the two regions to overcome stereotypes and form all-Ukrainian solidarity between the regions.
The event was attended by Chargé d'Affaires, a.i. Kristina Kvien, USAID Mission Director in Ukraine and Belarus James Hope, head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, head of the regional military-civil administration Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration Svitlana Onyschuk.
Background
The project "Ivano-Frankivsk and Donetsk build bridges of cooperation" was implemented during February-June 2021.
Its objective is to develop territories and improve the welfare of the population through the development and implementation of joint interregional projects in the social, trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural spheres between Ivano-Frankivsk and Donetsk regions.
