To provide emergency assistance to fire victims, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal commissioned on October 2, as a result of a working trip to Luhansk region:
• Serhii Haidai, Head of Luhansk Regional State Administration, together with Oleksii Chernyshov, Minister for Communities and Territories Development, and Maxym Stepanov, Minister of Health, to immediately provide the necessary assistance to the families of those killed and injured in the forest fires. Inform the Cabinet of Ministers about the results within three days.
• Head of Luhansk Regional State Administration Serhii Haidai together with Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, Head of the State Agency of Forest Resources Vasyl Kuziovych, Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine Mykola Balan and Head of SES Mykola Chechotkin - to ensure coordination of emergency and rescue services, round the clock monitoring of fire environment and engagement of the necessary amount of forces and means to eliminate the emergency situation.
• Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture Ihor Petrashko together with Minister of Finance Serhiy Marchenko, Minister of Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Chernyshov, Head of SES Mykola Chechotkin and Head of Luhansk Regional State Administration Serhiy Haidai - urgently on the basis of the submitted by Lunahsk RSA forecast analysis to prepare and submit according to the established procedure for consideration at a Government meeting a draft order on the allocation of funds from the reserve fund of the state budget for the implementation of urgent measures to eliminate the consequences of the emergency, including the provision of material assistance to relatives of the dead and injured.
• Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Roman Abramovskyy together with the Head of the State Agency of Forest Resources Vasyl Kuziovych - urgently with the participation of other interested bodies to develop and submit according to the established procedure to the Cabinet of Ministers a draft strategy to improve fire safety in Ukraine's forests.
