The state will pay an aid worth UAH 8,000 to each individual entrepreneur and employee of those businesses that have fallen under the restrictions of the red quarantine zones. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in his introductory statement at a meeting of the Government March 31.

Denys Shmyhal noted that the day before the Verkhovna Rada had supported the bill of the President of Ukraine, which provides for a new large bailout package for businesses.

"This is an important step that will help our entrepreneurs survive the next wave of coronavirus, as well as not to fire people during the period of severe quarantine restrictions. After all, in fact, the state helps entrepreneurs to pay a certain part of the salary to their employees," the Head of Government said.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister commissioned the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture, together with other responsible agencies, to develop all the necessary documents within a week, so that people can apply for cash benefits through the Diia in early April.

In addition, the Head of Government instructed the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development to coordinate work with local authorities to make additional business payments within each region.
