On January 13, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal chaired a meeting on the modernization of international road border checkpoints. The meeting was attended by Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov, Minister of Justice Denys Maliuska, representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the State Border Guard Service and the State Customs Service.

"This year, within the framework of the President's program Large Construction, the transformation of international road border checkpoints into modern facilities with comfortable waiting areas should begin. Crossing the border should become as fast and convenient as possible for citizens and businesses, because this is the face of our state," said Denys Shmyhal.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister commissioned the Ministry of Infrastructure together with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Justice to develop effective mechanisms that will allow this year to implement a large-scale project to modernize international road checkpoints at the state border.
