In 2021, soft lending programs have more than tripled, told Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a regular meeting of the Government on December 29.

According to him, anti-crisis programs to bail out the economy and business have become an integral part of the Government's economic policy. Thus, within the framework of the presidential program "5-7-9" in 2021, almost UAH 65 billion of affordable loans were issued. Meanwhile, in less than two years, under the program, there was issued a total of almost UAH 80 billion in loans.

"In addition, almost UAH 7 billion has been issued within the program of portfolio guarantees from the State. More than 30,000 businesses from different regions and industries received cheap resources and the opportunity to develop their own businesses," said Denys Shmyhal.

According to the Prime Minister, only in the past year the Government, at the initiative of the President, has launched direct and targeted payments for small and medium-sized businesses to the tune of UAH 15 billion.

"In the spring of this year, the bailout resource was paid to entrepreneurs who faced restrictions in their activities through the fact that their region fell into the red zone. Now we have successfully launched the program of targeted payments ePidtrymka. Entrepreneurs are already positively assessing the effect of such a program," the Head of Government said.

Apart from that, Denys Shmyhal also emphasized the launch of an affordable mortgage lending program in March this year.

"During this time, 1,300 contracts worth more than UAH 1.1 billion have already been signed. In total, for over 10 months of 2021, mortgage loans worth over UAH 7 billion were issued, which is 2.5 times more than last year," the Head of Government said.

Besides, according to the Prime Minister, this year the Government decided to increase the authorized capital of Ukrfinzhytlo by UAH 20 billion, thereby allowing to provide thousands of Ukrainian families with their own homes on annual basis.
