On June 4, Government during a regular sitting has endorsed a decision to pay UAH 2,000  for each child from a low-income family with many children.

"At the initiative of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, we allocate assistance to 145,000 children across the country, who as of August 1 this year have reached the age of 6-18. These funds will help multi-member families to prepare their children for school and buy necessary things. The total amount of the program will make up UAH 290 million, and payments should be made this month," Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.

The Cabinet of Ministers also supported the decision to launch a pilot project in communities on social work with families and children belonging to vulnerable groups. According to Denys Shmyhal, the initiative is aimed at supporting Ukrainian communities, which will now be able to improve the quality of social services they provide. "The project is designed for two years, and in 2022 UAH 18 million will be allocated for its implementation," the Prime Minister underscored.
