On April 26, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia Baiba Braže in Kyiv.

The Head of the Ukrainian Government congratulated his colleague on her appointment and noted that her first foreign visit to Ukraine was of great value to us.

The parties focused on key topics: continued support, including military aid, Ukraine's integration into the EU and NATO, toughening sanctions and confiscation of russian assets.

"Latvia, in coordination with Ukraine, will continue to work hard with its partners on these important topics," Denys Shmyhal stressed.

The Prime Minister thanked Latvia for setting the first precedent for the confiscation of russian assets - the nationalization of the House of moscow in Riga, as well as for supporting the Peace Formula of the President of Ukraine.

The officials also discussed infrastructure and logistics issues, including the Rail Baltica project.

Denys Shmyhal expressed his sincere gratitude to the Latvian government and people for the high level of support since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
