Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met in Kyiv with a delegation of the leadership of the Danish Folketing led by Speaker Søren Gade.
The Head of Ukrainian Government expressed his gratitude for Denmark’s support on all international platforms and assistance in deterring russian aggression.
The parties discussed the main challenges for Ukraine: strengthening air defences, allowing Western weapons to strike military targets on enemy territory, and energy. Denys Shmyhal thanked for the assistance with energy equipment.
The meeting also touched upon Ukraine’s military needs.
“Denmark buys Ukrainian-made weapons for Ukraine, and this is a vivid example of support for our defence industry,” the Prime Minister stressed.
Denys Shmyhal invited Danish companies to participate in reconstruction projects, noting that Denmark’s patronage of the reconstruction of Mykolaiv region was an example of responsible partnership and support for the region.
The leadership of the Danish Parliament, for its part, pledged its long-term support for Ukraine and expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian people for their struggle and defence of freedom throughout Europe.
