Prime Minister: Health Screening 40+ to start in Ukraine on 1 January
Health Screening 40+, a national programme for the early detection of cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus and mental health problems, launches in Ukraine on 1 January. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
The Head of Government emphasised that the programme will allow Ukrainians aged 40 and older to undergo examinations and detect the risks of chronic diseases in a timely manner. The cost of screening shall be covered by the state.
Users of the Diia app aged 40 and older will receive an invitation to undergo screening on the 30th day after their birthday.
The Prime Minister explained how to sign up for the service: "Accept an invitation to participate in the Screening 40+ programme in the app, order a Diia Card in the app or use an active card. The funds – 2,000 UAH – will be credited to the card within 7 days. Once you have received them, register for screening at one of the medical institutions participating in the programme.
Unless you have a Diia card, after the 30th day following your birthday, contact a partner bank (currently PrivatBank) to apply for a plastic card with a special account, and then contact a Center for Administrative Services Provision (CASP). Examinations are available in state, municipal and private medical institutions, regardless of your place of registration.
