Prime Minister visited the liberated village of Yahidne in Chernihiv region

During a working trip to Chernihiv region on July 13, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal visited the village of Yahidne of the Ivanovo Territorial Community, which had been liberated from the russian invaders in April.

The Head of the Government inspected the damage caused by the occupiers to infrastructure facilities. After the de-occupation, the forces of the State Emergency Service carried out demining of the settlement, and Dobrobat units are currently engaged in the restoration of residential buildings infrastructure.

"All damages are fixed and included in the register. The Government has already allocated UAH 400 million to Chernihiv region for priority measures. Of that sum, UAH 150 million is for the restoration of the full-fledged operation of Chernihivvodokanal. We will restore and rebuild everything better than it was. And russia will pay for its crimes, it is starting to pay off with seized frozen assets," stressed Denys Shmyhal.

In addition, the Head of Government visited a school in the village of Yahidne, in the basement of which the occupiers kept people hostages, and spoke with the village community. He explained the stages of gradual restoration of the infrastructure.

So far, the region has allocated UAH 12.6 million for the purchase of construction materials. As the Prime Minister was informed, completion of works on the restoration of residential buildings is expected in three weeks.
