  • Prime Minister visited a newly built underground school in Zaporizhzhia

    During his working visit to Zaporizhzhia, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal visited a newly built underground school. This is the second such educational institution in the city.

    According to the Head of Government, the radiation shelter can shelter up to a thousand people.

    "We built it as fast as possible. We expect that there will be more and more such projects. Safe training is a key priority for the Government. We will continue this work next year to ensure that as many children as possible in all regions of Ukraine can safely attend school," said Denys Shmyhal.

    The Prime Minister noted that more than UAH 1 billion had been allocated for Zaporizhzhia region to build and equip shelters in schools. In total, the Government has allocated UAH 7.5 billion to create safe conditions in educational institutions and build shelters. This is one of the largest investment programmes in the budget.
