Prime Minister took part in events marking the second anniversary of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine

On 24 February, events marking the second anniversary of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine were held in Hostomel, Kyiv region. The event was attended by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak, and Ukraine’s military leadership.

The official event was also attended by Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, President of the Council of Ministers of Italy Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of Belgium Alexander De Croo, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.

During the event, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented the State Awards of Ukraine.

A minute’s silence was observed in memory of the fallen heroes.

“Over the past two years, Ukraine has shown strength and endurance. Unity and dedication. Unbreakable spirit and character, thanks to which we have not only preserved our country, but also managed to continue building and developing it. Towards our goals – EU and NATO membership. And towards our victory. Every success of our country is first and foremost the merit of our defenders. Infinite gratitude to each and every one of them,” said Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on the second anniversary of the full-scale russian invasion.
