Turning Crimea into a blooming garden is a clear and understandable strategy within the framework of the development of a European Ukraine. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this during the Second Summit of the International Crimea Platform, which was held online with the participation of representatives of almost 60 countries and organizations.

"After the de-occupation of Crimea, its development will become an integral part of the grand Plan for the recovery of Ukraine. We drew up and presented this plan in Lugano. It foresees the transformation of our country, and a separate part of it is dedicated to the reconstruction and development of Crimea," the Prime Minister noted.

According to the Head of the Government, one of the main points of the strategy outlines the concept of "Crimea Is Open to the World", where the peninsula is a new European resort with a new infrastructure.

"Crimea will become part of the European transport space, integrated into the European TEN-T transport network. This means the construction of new transport routes. New railway routes, new sea routes, integration of Crimean ports into the Ukrainian trade network, creation of a powerful air hub," said Denys Shmyhal.

Ukraine also presents the new Crimea365 brand, which envisages the creation of year-round recreation infrastructure, since, as the Prime Minister emphasized, the tourist potential of Crimea is an opportunity to become one of the best resorts in Europe.

"It is planned to build full-cycle hotels in cooperation with world market leaders. Medical tourism, the revival of iconic festivals, the creation of infrastructure for holding business forums and conferences, the construction of the largest concert venue in the South of Ukraine," the Head of Government noted.

According to the Prime Minister, it is expected that these measures will help attract citizens of the EU and other friendly countries to the Ukrainian tourist market. Because only the creation of new air routes and the development of airports will allow for an increase in the tourist flow by approximately 1.5 million tourists per year.

In addition, the strategy envisages the large-scale development of the irrigation ecosystem, state projects in the field of supporting historical centers of wine production, and the implementation of grant programs to support producers of craft wine and other agricultural products.
