The state has compensated UAH 18 billion to Ukrainians for damaged and destroyed housing under the eVidnovlennia programme. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a meeting of the Cabinet on 18 February.
“90,000 families have restored or purchased new homes. We are now actively working on new sources of funding for the restoration of housing,” the Head of Government stressed.
In addition, according to him, a separate programme of compensation for property for internally displaced persons has also been launched.
“The Government has allocated UAH 15 billion for this programme. Thus, 10,000 families will receive a resource for the purchase of property,” the Prime Minister noted, adding that under this initiative, more than 50 families had already purchased new homes, and 2,500 had applied for the reservation of funds.
