Representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture met with the Deputy Minister-President of North Rhine-Westphalia to enhance economic partnership

Representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine held a bilateral meeting with Mona Neubaur, Deputy Minister-President and Minister for Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Action and Energy of the German State of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). She was accompanied by representatives of German companies with experience operating in Ukraine. The Ukrainian side was represented by Deputy Ministers Daria Marchak, Andrii Teliupa, and Oleksandr Kartashov.

“We presented our vision for Ukraine’s new industrial policy, aimed at integrating into European supply chains and attracting strategic partners. Partnership with businesses from North Rhine-Westphalia opens new opportunities for the development of Ukrainian industry and the post-war recovery of our country,” said Andrii Teliupa, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.

During the meeting, the Ukrainian side highlighted areas of potential interest for German companies in state investment projects, including the development of medical and social infrastructure, water supply and irrigation systems, waste processing, housing construction, and the implementation of energy-efficient technologies. Discussions also covered the use of public-private partnership mechanisms, as well as the organisation of direct business contacts and joint missions.

In the context of regional cooperation, the parties discussed North Rhine-Westphalia’s experience in transforming industrial regions, particularly the restructuring of the coal and steel industries.
