Since the beginning of 2025, 5,100 Ukrainians have received vouchers for training at public expense and will be able to acquire a new profession or speciality that is in demand on the labour market. Among the most popular professions and specialities for voucher training are nurse, cook, social worker, and driver. This was reported by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yuliia Svyrydenko.
“Retraining Ukrainians and providing them with the opportunity to master the professions that are relevant today is one of the important areas for the Ministry of Economy. We have introduced a number of training programmes that allow people to change their profession, improve their professional level and acquire additional skills, which will make them more competitive in the labour market. In particular, they can take a voucher for training and master one of 155 professions and specialities. Since the beginning of this year, more than 5,000 Ukrainians have received vouchers. The state has financed their training for UAH 48 million,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko.

In 2024, 23,000 Ukrainians received vouchers for education, and the state financed their education for UAH 327 million. Last year, the largest number of vouchers were used to study nursing, psychology, pre-school education, medicine, as well as to master the professions of cook, driver, tractor driver, and pastry cook.
Who can receive a voucher?
Certain categories of citizens can receive a voucher if they have a vocational or higher education, are not registered as unemployed with the Employment Service and have not received training at the expense of the Mandatory State Unemployment Insurance Fund in the last 3 years.
